Italy is loved worldwide for its great cultural heritage. During the culinary cultural tour you will visit beautiful historic monuments from the Roman times, the middle ages and the renaissance. You will experience the charming atmosphere of villages and cities with beautiful squares and romantic streets. When visiting the selected wineries you can taste the delicious wines. In the authentic restaurants you will enjoy the regional cuisine with the matching wines. For example, tajarin with white truffle from Alba paired with Barolo, the fish of Lake Garda together with Lugana and tortellini from Bologna with Lambrusco Grasparossa.
Expert guidance.
The tour guidance is owned by Stefania and Hans. Stefania is Italian and lives in Italy, with a passion for the culture and history of her country she guides the cultural side of the tour. She does this in English.
The wine and gastronomic guidance is provided by the Dutchman Hans in English or in Dutch. This expert will explain the local cuisine and wines. He will teach you about tasting techniques, enriching your tasting skills and explaining the rules for food and wine pairing. You will be immersed in the stories and explanations given by Stefania and Hans, enriching the whole experience of your travel.

Every tour is personalised and customised. 2TASTE will tailor the culinary cultural tour to your wishes with regard to budget, dates, desired guidance, restaurants, wineries, transport and program. Our starting points are good hotels or agriturismo’s in excellent locations, traditional restaurants with regional dishes and wines, wine tastings at top wineries and interesting cultural / city trips. Specific wishes as a cooking class, a bicycle tour, a mountain walk, a cruise on a lake and so on can be included.

Due Laghi (Lake Iseo – Lake Garda)
Discover the most beautiful places of Lake Iseo, Lake Garda and the artistic cities Brescia and Verona. It is a great opportunity to experience the regional cuisine, the wines like Franciacorta, Lugana, Valpolicella and the highlights around the lakes. The tour can also include Milan and the beautiful area ‘Oltrepo Pavese’. If there is a special event that you would like to attend we can include this in your tour. For example, attending an opera in the arena of Verona or admiring the cars that ride along in the ‘Mille Miglia’ car race that starts in Brescia.
Città Emiliane (authentic cities in Emilia Romagna)
In the ancient cities of Parma, Modena and Bologna you will experience the vibrant Italian city life. You will discover the rich gastronomy of Emilia Romagna. Enjoy the regional wines like Lambrusco di Sorbara and Lambrusco Grasparossa. Together with tortellini, lasagne, mortadella, Parma ham, Parmesan cheese and the world famous balsamic vinegar from Modena. Besides tasting the
delicacies you will visit the places where these have been made and learn about the facts behind the process. You might even try to create some of them yourself.
Piedmont
Discover the grandeur of Turin with the charming squares, baroque palaces and churches. Discover the beautiful landscape and the extraordinary gastronomy of Langhe. The original home of ‘slow food’ where even gourmets will be fully satisfied. Enjoy vitello tonnato, brasato al Barolo, bagna cauda, risotto, chocolate, hazelnuts and very tasteful cheeses. Langhe is known worldwide for the prestigious Barolo and Barbaresco. Barbera and Dolcetto are not to be forgotten and hold their own. In autumn during the white truffle season, the special tour ‘Piemonte e tartufi’ is organised and you will visit the truffle market in Alba.

Discover Ascoli Piceno, Urbino, Aqualagna, Offida, Grotte di Frasassi, Matelica, Monte Conero and the national park “Gran Sasso”. Enjoy the land and sea cuisine with specialities like fritto misto, porchetta, Ascolana olives, pecorino cheese and truffles from Acqualagna. They combine so well with the regional wi- nes like Verdicchio, Passerina, Pecorino, rosso Conero and vernaccia di Serrapetrona.
